In addition to the topic collections available on this site, we're always on the lookout for Internet based resources that support our consulting practice.  We make a note of those that are especially valuable - either in their content or frequency of use - and add them to this page.  If you have a favorite Internet resource, send an email nomination and link to the resource to the editor@consultingtoday.com.

  • Consulting references:  Sometimes the right reference makes a critical difference.  Toni Hupp has generously catalogued her highest value references and consulting classics, then summarized them for your review.

  • Marketing:  The dreaded "M-word" made easier.  Robert Middleton's insights have made him a legend in our time.  Visit his website and align your marketing strategy to your client's needs.

  • Toastmasters:  Toastmasters International membership has given countless generations of consultants the public speaking and platform confidence needed to successfully power their practices.  Toastmasters is on our list here because its website contains excellent tips on presentation preparation and delivery.  Toastmasters is also on our list of Organizations Consultants Join.

  • Business Models:  Need to review and reference an organizational, business or technical model?  This website has an astounding collection with easy to follow description and secondary references.

  • Cartoon Bank:  The Cartoon Bank sells licensing rights to literally thousands of premium cartoons for both print and online use.  Cartoon Bank's searchable database will help you find the right cartoon for your website, newsletter or presentation.

  • US Postal Service:  United States Postal Service zip code / zip+4 tools, item tracker, postage ordering, and rate finder.  This site is one we rely on week after week.

  • Face the Music:   You have a big conference coming up and want to infuse it with something special – fun, but not trivial, innovative, but not off-the-wall, different, but still tied to your business.  "Face the music"  is your answer.

  • Google:  Google is Google (of course), but don't overlook the power of the "advanced search" and "Google scholar" features which respectively allow searches within a single domain (e.g. a prospective client's or competitor's website), and searches of independently authenticated material.

  • e911: James E. Lukaszewski's  (loo-ka-SHEV-skee) website is a rich source of monographs, articles, presentations, and books developed over his extensive consulting career.  What Jim has to share is especially valuable because he works exclusively with executive teams at the boardroom level.  (Note - His e911 website is a great example of how to turn knowledge into revenue.)

  • Business Book Abstracts:  Don't have time to read the full reference?  We've found a web site that has the summaries you need to keep one book ahead of your clients - no matter what they're reading.

  • Clip Art and Photos on Line: The large number and variety of clip art makes the Microsoft site bookmark worthy.  The site includes links to several commercial clip art sources.  Fotosearch is a good alternative for both royalty free and rights managed photos.

  • Wikipedia online encyclopedia: A proven way to clarify definitions and insight.

  • Website "Dead Links Checker":  A free online resource to check a domain for "dead links."
